Our location
We are located on the ground floor of Historic Seattle's beautiful Good Shepherd Center, midway between the main transit routes of I-5 and Route 99. We are surrounded by beautiful grounds that include the lovely organic gardens of Seattle Tilth. There are two large free parking lots as well as abundant free on-street parking.

Our Administrative Staff
Karyn Mikkelsen-Tillet, Executive Director
Karyn has a Master of Public Administration, specializing in nonprofit development, from the University of Michigan . She has studied French at the Sorbonne in Paris. Karyn has more than 8 years experience in nonprofit management and organizational development. As a French-American, she is able to bring an understanding of the both cultures to her position as Executive Director.
Marie-Ange Wood, Educational Director
Marie-Ange is a French national and a teacher of the French language with many years of experience teaching both adults and children. She holds a
DEUG (University Diploma) in Psychology from the University of Caen
and a Certificate in Education, a two-year program in Post Compulsory
Education and Training from the University of Greenwich, London, England.
She enjoys sharing not only her knowledge
of the French language but also of French culture.
Nicole Pennebaker, Events Coordinator
A Seattle native, Nicole, has an M.A. degree in French from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She recently relocated back to the Pacific Northwest after spending eight years in Albuquerque where she taught French at Central New Mexico Community College. She was also involved with the Albuquerque chapter of the Alliance Française as both a teacher and a board member. She is committed to working to support the Alliance Française de Seattle in its mission to promote French language and culture.
