Tanguy is a 28-year old overgraduated student and professor of Asian languages at the university. He is successful financially as well as with women... but he still lives with his parents! For years his mother is quite happy with the arrangement, but she finally comes around to her husband's point of view that it's time for Tanguy to leave the nest. They join forces to make Tanguy's life a living hell, but Tanguy doesn't give up too easily.

He becomes her champion by taking on her evil "protectors", but loses his last bid for freedom--and his life--in the process.

In an old house in Paris, that was covered in vines, twelve little girls lived in two straight lines. The smallest one, in rain or shine, was the fearless Madeline, and she is the heroine of this family comedy based on L. Bemelan's classic book series about a Parisian schoolgirl and her classmates.

This live-action feature produced in France stars Hatty Jones as Madeline, Frances McDormand as Miss Clavel, and a supporting cast with Ben Daniels and Nigel Hawthorne.

 

Rated PG, for momentary language, appropriate for ages 6-12, 88 minutes.
