Take full advantage of your Alliance Française de Seattle membership privileges by participating in one or more of our specialized activities for French citizens, Francophones and Francophiles! We bring together people with similar interests in different aspects of French culture to socialize and explore the French experience together in fun and stimulating ways. Activities provide an opportunity to connect with your French heritage or to gain greater language proficiency and confidence outside the classroom. You can practice your French in the “real world” – during a bike ride, playing a board game, or commenting on a film. The Alliance Française de Seattle is where you can have fun making the connection between studying French and enjoying life!  Most activities are conducted in French and English, and many do not require full French fluency for participation.

Ciné Club
Join us for a lively evening each month that is guaranteed to stimulate, delight, and challenge your mind while engaging your eyes! The Alliance Française de Seattle Ciné Club presents a monthly viewing of French cinema with English subtitles, both masterpieces from the past and contemporary movies, many of which are not available locally. The films are shown on the large-screen TV at the Alliance during an evening that includes light refreshments and a brief introductory presentation about the film. Scrabble
Sharpen your French language skills while sharpening your mind in a creative way by playing French Scrabble each month at the Alliance Française de Seattle. You will enhance your French vocabulary, improve your French spelling, and have fun with other members! Intermediate to advanced French.

Outdoor Activities: le français en plein air!
Enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and other excursions in the beautiful Northwest throughout the year. Each summer, we celebrate the Seattle Center’s Bastille Day Festal, and we organize a recreational bike ride through Seattle inspired by the Tour de France, complete with tournesols (sunflowers) in Pike Place Market!
