Conversation Classes

— Elementary Level (A1) —

At the elementary level, students will be guided through A1-level activities that target and reinforce speaking and listening comprehension skills. Students will also learn how to form and pronounce the sounds that make up the French language using the vocabulary and grammatical structures covered in the 101, 102, and 103 -level classes. Please note: This class is not designed for complete beginners. Students are expected to have completed at least our 101 class prior to enrollment.

— Intermediate Level (A2 and B1) —

Designed for students at the intermediate level, this class helps speakers further develop their oral production and comprehension skills at the A2 and B1 levels. Students dive deeper into French phonetics and pronunciation and learn techniques for navigating a variety of conversational scenarios. Activities target key grammatical structures and supporting vocabulary that will help students become independent users of French.

— Advanced Level (B2 and above) —

Dès la première heure de cours, l’étudiant est acteur. La classe devient alors un espace social où s’échangent des informations, des expériences, des opinions et où vont se construire des projets. De ces interactions vont naître le désir de maîtriser le vocabulaire, la grammaire et la prononciation, le besoin d’acquérir des stratégies de compréhension et de production, et l’envie de mieux connaître les cultures francophones. Parallèlement, des activités de simulation permettront aux apprenants d’anticiper les situations qu’ils auront à vivre dans des environnements francophones.

Conversation Avancée SOIR | Civilisation | Alexandra DORCA
Ce cours s’adresse à un public avancé (B2+), passionné par la culture et la civilisation françaises. Vous allez améliorer vos compétences de compréhension et d’expression orales ainsi que de compréhension de l’écrit tout en explorant des thèmes tels que les villes et les régions de France, les enjeux de la société contemporaine, les grands écrivains, l’art, la gastronomie, la mode, le cinéma, etc. Chaque séance sera articulée autour d’un document écrit, audio ou audiovisuel (par ex., extrait de livre ou de film, article, chanson, reportage, etc.).
