Film Screening 2/3: Krzysztof Kieślowski’s trilogy « Trois couleurs », Blanc
The Alliance Française de Seattle is once again partnering with Scarecrow Video, this time to bring you Krzysztof Kieslowski’s trilogy « Trois couleurs » (1993-1994). On the first Thursday in April, May and June, we will be screening each of the films Bleu, Blanc, and Rouge.
The Trois Couleurs trilogy is themed on the French Revolutionary ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity. Blanc tells the story of a divorced man (Zbigniew Zamachowski) seeking equality through revenge. This allegorical film takes a cynical view on power, marriage, and capitalism.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot early for one or all of the films!
If you have reserved, but can no longer attend, kindly change your RSVP.
