2008 EU Summer Workshop for High School, Community College, and In-Service Educators
Join faculty from the Jackson School of International Studies to learn about the EU
and its relationship with the rest of the world.
The all-day workshop will be followed by dinner at a European restaurant and includes 8 clock hours, meals,
parking, and teaching materials.

Laurence Raybois, specialist in helping Americans relocate to France and author of Chez Moi: The Foreigner's Guide to Buying a Home in France, will conduct the following two presentations:
5:30-7:00PM ♦
Buying a Home in France.
The presentation will describe the aspects of the process that are uniquely French, such as the role of legal professionals that do not have an equivalent in the US, and how taxes and estate planning rules may impact you. Laurence will also discuss price trends and financing.
7:30-9:00PM ♦
Professional Immigration to France.
The French government has recently enacted new legislation meant to encourage professional immigration to France. Laurence will cover every type of employment situation in France, including self-employment, regulated professions, and options available to individuals who are innovators in their field.
