Build confidence speaking French in everyday situations! This class reviews key A1 vocabulary and introduces the expressions you need to talk about yourself, your family, your interests, and your opinions. Contes Fantastiques Québécois

Expand your cultural and linguistic francophone knowledge by reading Contes Fantastiques Québécois. Students will read an abbreviated version of the text and will analyze the themes and writing structure. This course enhances language acquisition through reading, listening, conversational fluency and pronunciation skills.

Notre-Dame de Paris Part 3: The Redesign of the Surroundings

Landscape Architect Bas Smets will describe how his team plans to redesign the square in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral and the underground parking spaces beneath it, the Jean XXIII square located behind the cathedral, the Seine riverbanks, and the adjacent streets, in order to create a microclimate to mitigate the effects of climate change.

With Russell Kelley, author of The Making of Paris (in English). This illustrated lecture will explore the history of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, from its foundation in 1163 to the devastating fire on April 15, 2019, which destroyed its attic, roof, and iconic spire.
