In 2020, as we were not able to physically get together for social events, the Alliance Française de Seattle launched a new online program to keep its community engaged, curious, and connected. In 2022, this program continues in a hybrid format, with both in-person as well as virtual events.
Titled Les Rencontres de l'Alliance, this curated offering of conferences, talks, and conversations, features guest speakers from various backgrounds with connections to the Francophone world and AFSeattle. Our guests talk about their work or their passion in a conference or conversation setting, followed by a Q&A moderated by the AFSeattle staff.
About the Talks: Free, most often in English and sometimes in French, accessible to all. Registration is mandatory. For virtual events: you will receive the Zoom link in your RSVP confirmation email.
About the Organizer: AFSeattle is a 501(c)(3) educational and cultural non-profit organization registered in the state of Washington in 1987. It is a member of an 800+ network of Alliances Françaises around the world and aims to promote French language and Francophone cultures towards a variety of programs.
