The Alliance Française de Seattle takes part in Festinema Junior for the fifth consecutive year!
We wish to encourage cross-cultural understanding and collaboration with the French-speaking world. As such, we are taking part in the 2020 edition of Festinema Junior, a film education program for youth showcasing French films for students ages 4 to 18 across the USA.
Created in 2014, Festinema Junior offers film screenings and lesson plans to promote French culture and language. The festival aims at introducing young audiences to subtitled foreign movies and independent films as well as teaching them to think critically in their film analysis. All participating teachers and classes will receive a portfolio with a lesson plan, created with pre- and post-screening activities to help the teachers lead their classes.
