Immersion Trip to Northern France

1. (Optional) I attend the May 30 information meeting and/or ask questions by email.
2. I choose a trip and a room and submit a request to the Domaine des Florines via email.
3. I complete the registration form and sign the waiver.
4. I complete half of the payment via wire transfer.
5. I book my travel independently, then inform my hosts of my detailed arrival/departure plans.
6. Before June 12, 2024: I make the second half of the payment at least one (1) month before the trip.
7. I meet the group in Marchiennes, France on Day 1 of the immersion trip!

Once you have reserved your room with a deposit, you can organize your trip to the Domaine des Florines. Participants should arrive at the Domaine on the first day at any time, and leave on the last day by noon. Participants should organize their own travel plans, then notify the hosts.

If you are traveling from Seattle, you will need to book air travel to Paris, France; from Paris, you can travel to Marchiennes by train or by road.

Cancellation by Domaine des Florines: full reimbursement.

• Minimum of 3 participants is required for a trip to take place as scheduled. Do not hesitate to spread the word among your friends or fellow French students!

Cancellation by participants:

• Until one (1) month prior to departure, at noon (12pm) Pacific Time (PST): the trip is reimbursed.
• Less than one (1) month prior to departure, with no documented cause or in case of no-shows: no reimbursement.
• Up to 2 hours prior to flight departure, for documented illness or other documented emergencies: full reimbursement. (COVID-19 symptoms can be documented with a medical virtual appointment report or a COVID-19 test).

Domaine des Florines will put in place preventative measures and safety protocols consistent with CDC guidelines and French Public Health authorities. Participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene and self-monitor for signs of illness. The classroom and dining room will be disinfected after and before each class and meal (tables, chairs, doorknobs, light switches, etc). Domaine des Florines is informing its staff, instructors and students of all necessary hygiene measures; and is staying informed of the CDC and French Public Health recommendations and updates.
