About the Speaker: Lars Williamson is Château de Pommard's private wine advisor for the Pacific Northwest. His passion for wine began while studying viticulture at the California Polytechnic University in the Central Coast of California. The diverse range of focuses and courses gave Lars an appreciation for every aspect of wine—from grape to market. Post-graduation, he continued his studies with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, obtaining his Level 3 certification.
About Château de Pommard: Founded in 1726, Château de Pommard combines three hundred years of savoir-faire and an innovative vision focused on biodynamic viticulture. Its philosophy is to maintain a hands-off approach and allow nature to remain in control, entrusting the vintage to do the talking, not the winemaker or the business. The seven distinct yet complementary terroirs of Clos Marey-Monge are each hand-harvested, fermented, and aged separately, following a vinification process that employs as little human interference as possible
