Walk, French & Fun: Celebrate Peace and the Olympics




Join the Alliance Française de Seattle for a global event along with the Federation of Alliances Francaises around the US!

In alignment with the values ​​of the Alliance Française and Olympic communities, WALK, FRENCH, AND FUN is an occasion to celebrate peace and the Paris Olympic Games with a community walk around Green Lake. This is a free, casual event for our community members to gather in celebration of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, as designated by the United Nations. The walk around the lake is 2.9 miles long on a paved, relatively flat surface.

To participate, please RSVP below, and meet other participants on Saturday, April 6 at the Green Lake Tree Walk Trailhead, near the Green Lake Community Center:
  • Check-in between 9:45am - 10am
  • Directions here
  • All participants should wear a red shirt (and comfortable walking shoes!)
  • The group will start walking at 10:05am
  • You are encouraged to speak French with fellow participants, but it is not required!
  • The walk around the lake is 2.9 miles long on a paved, relatively flat surface.
  • All participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a prize!
