Ciné-Salon [Online & in person]

The ciné-salon is free for members and will charge $10 per event for non-members.
Participants must RSVP to each event to receive the Zoom meeting link by email.

Enjoy our best recommendations for French-language movies and join our ciné-salon online or in person to discuss them in French—to the best of your ability—led by our instructor Giuseppa! Connect with others through our shared love of cinema and Francophone cultures. This is a great way to practice your French but is first meant to entertain you and help us all socialize.

All levels are welcome. Discussion questions will be provided for each event. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

For the Ciné-Salon Online:

• Each session, we have chosen a film for you to view at home. Our selections are usually available via various streaming.
• Every participant watches the film before the discussion at a time that fits their own schedule.
• Participants must RSVP to the event in order to receive the Zoom meeting link in a confirmation email.
• At the time of the event, participants join the online Zoom meeting. 
• A list of questions will be made available on each event page the day before each session, as a proposed structure for the discussion.
• Have fun discussing the films with other participants in a relaxed atmosphere! Each event will last about 90min.

For the Ciné-Salon in person:

• Each session will include the film screening at the Alliance Française de Seattle and the film discussion afterwards.
• Participants must RSVP to the event if planning to attend, for organization purposes (we need a minimum of 4 participants per event).
• Have fun discussing the films with other participants in a relaxed atmosphere! 

This community program is free for AFSeattle members. Non-member price: $10. Donations are welcome.
